To Rangers,

In the Bridging the Watershed (BTW) program, National Park Service rangers work with high school students to provide them with educational programs and park interpretations that deal with a park's natural and cultural resources. In addition to special ranger workshops, rangers are encouraged to participate in the Annual Summer Teacher/Ranger Institute in which you can earn graduate credit. To find out more about trainings specifically for rangers, please click here.

Unique to the BTW program is the opportunity for rangers to do cross-training. Rangers are able to help facilitate field studies in any of the national parks in the National Capital Region. The events calendar will provide information about field study opportunities.
